A recent retrospective study showed that combining definitive radiation therapy with systemic therapies is feasible and efficacious in highly selected patients with oligoprogressive or oligometastatic RMC. When oligometastatic relapse occurs after nephrectomy in patients with previously localized disease, combining definitive radiotherapy with effective systemic therapy soon after may present a promising treatment approach. Further research is needed to validate these findings and optimize the integration of radiation therapy in RMC treatment.
